Evening pick-up

Ok, so it's probably common sense to most people, but we have just gotten a good evening pick-up routine in place. It makes such a difference in the morning to get up and, instead of having an overwhelming amount of things to take care of, to just have a few. So now, immediately after dinner the girls head off to their room of the week and do a quick cleaning before having some free time before bed. Following is an example of what each child doing chores and a description of their cleaning personality.

Brianna. Whines a bit at the beginning, especially when cleaning her bedroom which gets trashed on a daily basis, but once she gets down to it she gets the job done.

Madeline. No fuss here. Tell her what to do and she does it. Right away, usually with no question asked. I suggest that everyone have a Madeline when it comes to household chores.

Megan. Ahhhh yes, Megan. Give Meg an assignment and it will get done. In about 2 hours. If you are lucky. There will be much whining and distraction along the way. Intervention will almost always be necessary. ;o)

Alyssa. Yeah she doesn't do all that much at this point. She picks up her toys and does little things that Mommy asks her to do, but in general she just gets in everyones way. But she is so cute we rarely complain!
