Merry Christmas!

Just a few Christmas pictures to share. Hope you all had a wonderful holiday!

Waiting "patiently" to open gifts.

....still waiting!

Madeline, enjoying the fire. ;o) Jas was so gung-ho about the yule log that he even left it on when we went to sleep last night (Christmas Eve).

Opening gifts.

Wearing my feety pajamas that Paul gave me. You know you want some!

Aftermath.

She might come out of the picture and eat you alive-be afraid.

Sisters...sisters...there were never such devoted.....er...nope, wrong song!

Lissie, Auntie Laura and sleeping Kate

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Baby in a Bumbo

I'm finding that Miss Kate prefers to observe life from an upright position-go figure. She doesn't generally care to be in her bouncer or her swing when she is awake, seemingly because she wants to be sitting up straight. So today I pulled out the Bumbo that Sara lent me and she is really content when she is sitting in it. She can't sit in it for too long yet, as her little neck gets tired, but I have a feeling she will be using it quite a bit in the future!

So much to look at!

Getting a bit tired-hence Madeline's hand holding up her head. :o)

Not in the Bumbo, but too cute to not share!

"I see you!"

3 weeks old today

Ridiculously sweet, as usual.

You better watch out...

...you better not cry, you better not pout, I'm telling you why-

Santa Clause....

(and her reindeer)....

are coming, to town!

On a similar note, last night Lissie came out to the living room after she had been put to bed and asked me "Mommy, where is Santa Clause?". "Up at the North Pole" is my reply. "Oh! The North Pole? Ok Mommy!" says my 3 year old as she runs back to bed. 2 minutes later she returns in near tears-"Mommy! Bwianna says Santa isn't weal!" Oh dear! "I'll go talk to Brianna" says the mommy. "Ok" says the 3 year old. Crisis averted (for now). ;o)

Before and after

Before-A girl with crazy hair that never stays put, making her look like a ragamuffin a majority of the time.

After-I'm not even sure who this girl is, but I'm thinking she looks pretty cute, and not much like a ragamuffin at all!

Snow Play

In spite of the sun's best efforts to put an end to the snowy goodness we have been longing for, winter fought back and brought us enough snow for the girls to go outside this afternoon and play. They were gleeful and let's face it, so was mom. Those kids needed to get outside and get some exercise!!

Don't you just love winter? :o)

Do you have one of these?

If you see signs.....

....such as this, you may have one in your home. Be warned!

Random musings

Well Miss Kate has been with us for about a week and a half now and while she hasn't really thrown things off too much she sure likes to eat a lot so I rarely have a chance to make it to the computer. Be excited that I'm here now!

I don't really have a theme for this post, so I'm just going to post some pictures that we've taken the last week or so. You won't complain will you?

Kate-1 week.

I think Maddie looks so much like Laura in this picture!

Megan, acting like herself. :o)

Me and Paullis and Kit-Kat.

Look at those chubby cheeks!!

Isn't she precious??

A half smile from Meg. The Christmas tree makes her happy!

I saved these for last because I love them. Those who know Jas know he puts on his Santa hat the day after Thanksgiving (some days on Thanksgiving) and doesn't take it off until New Year's. Well he has passed the tradition on to his girls who of course adore him and love to do what he does. Maddie is the most hardcore at this point-wearing her hat around the house most of the day in addition to wearing it when she leaves the house. The above picture is everyone ready to head out for church.

And of course Papa bought Kate her very first Santa hat before she was even born. Yes, he is crazy. ;o)
